FIELD: machine building.SUBSTANCE: invention can be used for cutting helical surfaces. Cutting polyhedral replaceable plate made of ceramic for cutting helical surfaces comprises top, bottom and lateral rear surface and cutting edges formed by intersection of top and bottom surfaces with lateral rear surfaces of plate. Lateral rear surfaces are interfaced on condition of formation of six tops of cutting plate and side cutting edges in form of a transient shaped surface with variable angle of inclination relative to top surface, varying from 0° at points of interface of lateral cutting edges with lateral rear surfaces to maximum absolute value at top of cutting plate.
