PURPOSE:To increase discharge capacity and improve voltage-current performance by using a chromium oxide having a valency of 3-6 as positive active material. CONSTITUTION:A chromium oxide having a valency of 3-6 is used as positive active material. For example, CrO3 is heat treated and crushed. Acetylene black as a conductive material and fluorine resin powder as a binder are mixed to CrO3 powder, and this mixture is pressed and heated under a reduced pressure to form a positive electrode. An Li plate is punched in a specified dimension to use as a negative electrode. Lithium perchlorate is dissolved in an equal volume solvent of propylene carbonate and dimethoxyethane to use as electrolyte and it is impregnated in a polypropylene nonwoven fabric separator. They are combined with the positive electrode to manufacture a nonaqueous electrolyte battery. |
