PURPOSE:To enable to drive a high voltage 3-phase induction motor by providing a transformer for dropping the voltage to 1,000V class from a high voltage 3-phase input power source, thereby using a sole thyristor element. CONSTITUTION:A transformer 114 for dropping 3,000V class to AC 1,000V class of rated voltage value for an induction motor 106, normal/reverse phase thyristor control block groups 101-105 connected in antiparallel thyristor element of 4,000V class voltage resistance capacity connected to the secondary side of the transformer, high voltage 3-phase induction motor 106 driven by the dropped voltage, and a firing unit 108 for transmitting a control signal of a firing phase to the thyristor are provided. In this manner, the thyristor block groups 101- 105 inserted to the phases R, S, T are all sole thyristor elements, the controller can be reduced in size, and readily reduced, thereby improving the reliability. |
