PURPOSE:To obtain spherical toner particles having superior fluidity and triboelectrifiability by adding a hydrophilic compound capable of reacting with a polycondensable compound into water containing a dispersion stabilizer after confirming evaporation of a solvent, while stirring the water so as not to precipitate fine granular precipitates. CONSTITUTION:Electrophotographic toner components are dissolved and dispersed into the volatile solvent having a boiling point of <=100 deg.C, and after dissolving a hydrophobic polycondensable compound, mixed with the water containing a dispersion stabilizer and stirred to emulsify the liquid. The volatile solvent is removed from the emulsion, and then, the hydrophilic compound reacting with the polycondensable compound is added and interface polycondensation is carried out. As said volatile solvent, a solvent having a boiling point of <=100 deg.C is used to facilitate evaporation and removal of it from the water, and ones small in compatibility with water are used to avoid precipitation of the resin occurring immediately if one compatible with water is used. |
