PURPOSE:To obtain an electrophotographic sensitive body having superior sensitivity and characteristics and reducing changes of the electric potentials of the light and dark parts during repeated electric charging and exposure by forming a layer contg. a styrylthiophene compound. CONSTITUTION:A layer contg. a styrylthiophene compound represented by the formula is formed. In the formula, each of R1-R5 is H or the like, Ar is aryl or a heterocyclic group, n is an integer of >=1 and m is an integer of >=0. The layer is preferably formed as a charge transferring layer by applying and drying a soln. prepd. by dissolving the compound represented by the formula and a binder in a proper solvent. Thus, an electrophotographic sensitive body having high sensitivity can be obtd. The sensitive body reduces changes of the electric potentials of the light and dark parts during repeated electric charging and exposure. |
