PURPOSE:To greatly reduce the longitudinal vibration of a vehicle body, by providing a resisting means between joint input and output members in coaxial relationship thereto, for providing a stroke in response to the approach of these members to an extent greater than a normal position and resisting to such approach. CONSTITUTION:A resisting means 26 is provided between a joint input member 21 and a joint output member 22 in coaxial relationship thereto. The resisting means 26 comprises a boxlike fixed member 28 mounted on an inside bottom surface of the housing 21, a sliding member 29 adapted to be moved relative to the fixed member 28, and a spring 30. A flange 29a of the sliding member 29 is slidably engaged with the inner periphery of the fixed member 28 under the condition where a relatively large frictional resistance is provided therebetween. In stopping a vehicle with an automatic transmission shifted in a drive range, the spider assembly 22 approaches the housing 21. However, such approach is resisted by the resisting means 26 to make drive shafts 5 and 6 cooperate with each other in an enduring direction, thereby canceling a change in same phase toe angle of wheels. |
