PURPOSE:To make it possible to efficiently fix a dry toner at high speed by using a substance having >=0.1cal/cm.sec.deg heat conductivity at ordinary temp. in the outermost layer of the toner. CONSTITUTION:A substance having >=0.1cal.sec<-1>.deg<-1> heat conductivity is used as an auxiliary heat fixing agent together with a filler or a coating substance in the outermost layer of a dry toner so as to effectively transmit energy from the surface of a heat roll to the interface between the toner and transfer paper and to obtain a desired degree of fixing with smaller fixing energy. The substance having high heat conductivity used in the outermost layer of the dry toner may be a metal such as Ag, Al, Au, Be, Co, Cr, Cu, Fe, Ge, Mg, Mo, Ni, Pt, Sn, Ta or Zn, a metal oxide such as Al2O3, BeO or MgO or any other substance having >=0.1cal.sec<-1>.deg<-1> heat conductivity. |
