PURPOSE:To obtain a photosensitive material high in sensitivity and preventing the deterioration of sensitivity due to time lapse without causing fog by color sensitizing silver halide grains contained in an emulsion layer with a specified compound. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide photographic sensitive material has on a support at least one silver halide emulsion layer containing the silver halide grains color sensitized with the compound represented by the formula shown on the right in which each of Y1 and Y2 is a nonmetallic atomic group necessary to form an N-containing 5- or 6-membered hetero ring; each of R7-R9 is H or the like; each of R1, R2, and 6 is alkyl, aralkyl, alkenyl, or the like; X<-> is an anion; each of i, j, k, l, m, and p is 0 or 1; each of n, q, and r is an integer of 1-10; and L is -CO- or the like, thus permitting the obtained silver halide photographic sensitive material to be high in sensitivity and not to cause the deteriroation of the sensitivity due to the lapse of time. |
