Provided is a hybrid excitation synchronous electric motor having a wide air gap including one radial air gap and two axial air gaps between an armature and a field magnet, having a field flux forming a large hybrid flux in which two fluxes, that is, a magnetic flux generated by DC excitation and a magnetic flux generated by a permanent magnet are combined, capable of generating a large torque by increasing the DC excitation flux during the phase from start-up to acceleration, and capable of highly efficiently increase speed by reducing DC excitation current during a high-speed operation. |
