PURPOSE:To make a parting surface when a mask pattern is released to sharply display a display pattern and to dispense with a mask pattern drying process, by a method wherein a mask pattern is printed on the display surface of a light pervious plastic molded member using semisolid oil having viscosity and, after the surface of said member is coated, the mask pattern is released to form a character hollowed film. CONSTITUTION:A mask pattern 2 is formed to an upper surface becoming a display surface, for example, in a thickness of about 10-20mum using semisolid oil having viscosity by silk screen printing. Paint becoming a background color is applied to the surface of a plastic molded member 1 on which the mask pattern 2 is printed to form a paint film 3 to the entire surface of said member. The gum tape mask pattern 2 is easily released to form a character hollowed display pattern 5. |
