<p>PURPOSE:To use a character inputting portion and a button inputting portion in common by providing a tablet input device with two functions for character recognition and button operating position recognition so as to execute character input and button input on a tablet input board. CONSTITUTION:In case of inputting and storing the address, name, etc., of a terminating subscriber in a telephone set 1, an operation panel 6 is upward oscillated from a closing position covering the tablet input board 12 so as to be moved to an opening to expose the tablet input board 12. When the operation panel 6 is set up on the opening position, a switch 13 is driven. When the switch 13 is turned to an operating position (solid line) SW1 corresponding to the opening of the panel 6, the tablet input board 12 is selectively connected to a character recognizing circuit 15 in a recognizing means 100. When characters are drawn on the exposed tablet input board 12 by an operator's finger or an input pen, a coordinate signal outputted from the input board 12 is inputted to a character recognizing circuit 15 to input character information.</p> |
