<p>PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a strip by providing oil headers which inject a lubricating oil at variable flow rates to the outside surfaces of intermediate rolls and disposing pressing materials to uniformize the thicknesses of the lubricating oil films to the intermediate rolls. CONSTITUTION:The work roll oil headers 15, 16 which inject and coat the lubricating oil at variable flow rates are provided to the plural longitudinal points of the intermediate rolls 8, 9 and the pressing materials 12 to uniformize the lubricating oil films formed on the outside surfaces of the intermediate rolls 8, 9 are disposed thereto. The lubricating oil is concentrically injected by such mechanism to the surfaces of the rolls 8, 9 having the lubricating oil films thinned by divided rolls 6, 7; further, wipers 13, 14 press the materials 12 to the rolls to uniformize the lubricating oil films. The surface quality of the strip based on the uneven thicknesses of the lubricating oil films is, therefore, improved.</p> |
