PURPOSE:To enhance a color forming property, raw preservability and the stability of a developed color image, by incorporating a salicylic acid derivative having an alkyloxy group and a substitutent or a metal salt thereof and a bisphenol derivative as electron acceptive compounds. CONSTITUTION:As a salicylic acid derivative, a compound represented by general formula (I) (wherein R is an alkyl group, X is a hydrogen atom, an alkyl group, an alkoxy group or a halogen atom, M is an n-valent metal atom and m and n are an integer) is pref. A bisphenol S derivative means phenols substituted with arylsulfonyl and a compound represented by general formula (II) (wherein R' is a hydrogen atom or an alkyl group and Y is a hydrogen atom an alkyl group or a halogen atom) is pref. Since the coloration of an undeveloped part due to a solvent is prevented or a color forming body is not discolored or faded by oils and fats or chemicals when both of compounds are used in a thermal recording material, they have almost ideal capacity as electron acceptive compounds for the recording material. |
