发明名称 TROUBLE MONITORING DEVICE FOR OPTICAL SUBMARINE CABLE
摘要 PURPOSE:To know a cable trouble point by using Si rubber as a dielectric and forming stable capacity of a steel wire and a cylindrical conductor, and finding the capacity from charges to the apparent capacity when the cable trouble point is an electrically opened trouble point. CONSTITUTION:A cable 28 is connected by the anchoring device 8 of a pressure housing 2 so that an optical fiber 22 is connected to the optical fiber 3 in a relay 1 and a cylindrical conductor 24 is connected to a tail cable 6. The tail cable is connected to a feeder 7 through a power line feedthrough 5 and reaches the relay through an optical fiber feedthrough 4 together with the optical fiber 3. The connection body of a conductor 24, the cable 6, and feeder 7 feeds electricity to a relay circuit 1 and sends it out to the cable on the opposite side. A tension member 25 is bend by the anchoring device 8 in the opposite direction. The steel wire 21 in the center of the cable is connected 10 to an earth wire 9 and the pressure housing 2 in the anchoring device 8 and Si rubber 23 is charged between the steel wire 21 and cylindrical conductor 24 to form the capacity. The capacity is compared with a known capacity value in case of trouble to decide the position of the trouble point.
