PURPOSE:To reduce the loads of the ionic substance and SS components to be imposed on a waste water treating device after a hollow yarn membrane filter by using hollow yarn having specified yarn diameter and pore diameter and having an ion-exchange group or a chelating group. CONSTITUTION:Hollow yarn provided with an ion-exchange group or a chelating group by graft polymerization, etc., and having 500-5,000mum yarn diameter and 0.01-1mum pore diameter is used for hollow yarn membrane filters 1 and 2. In the condensate purifying equipment of an atomic power plant, the condensate is treated by the cation hollow yarn membrane filter 1 and the anion hollow yarn membrane filter 2, and sent to a downstream condensate desalting device having an ion-exchange resin tower, etc. When the difference in pressure between the inside and outside of the membrane reaches a specified value in the filters 1 and 2, the filters are backwashed with water and air. The electric conductivities of the influent water and the effluent water are respectively measured in the filters 1 and 2, and the filters are regenerated by chemicals when the ion exchange capacity is decreased to a specified value. |
