PURPOSE:To simplify the structure of a rest detector, to improve the durability, and to secure rest detection by detection by detecting the amount of the body contained in a container based on variation in electromotive force due to the light shielding and exposure of a solar battery. CONSTITUTION:The solar battery 2 is constituted by fitting plural photoelectric cells 22 to the bottom part of a flat box type light shield body 21 and charging a filler 23 made of synthetic resin in the recessed part of a light shield body 21. Then, when the body is stored in the hopper 1 up to above the fitting position of the solar cell 2 above a rest detection position, light beams are cut off by the contained body and the electromotive force of the battery 2 is small. When the body in the hopper 1 is reduced in amount to a position below the fitting position of the battery 2, on the other hand, the battery 2 is exposed and the electromotive force increases. The rest of the body in the hopper 1 is detected from variation in this electromotive force. |
