PURPOSE:To prevent vanes in a vane pump for superchargers or the like, from being worn, by forming annular trackways which are engaged with projections at both ends of vanes, slidably in the peripheral direction in order to limit the leap-out of the vanes, in a hosing. CONSTITUTION:When a rotor 4 is rotated by a rotary shaft 10, vanes 11a-11c rotate so that sleeve bearings 14 fitted on pins 13 at both ends of the vanes roll along annular trackways 17 formed in housings 1, 2. These trackways 17 are coaxial with the inner peripheral surface 1'' of the housing but is eccentric from the rotor 4, and therefore, the vanes 11a-11c extend and retract along vane grooves 12a-12c in the rotor 4 in association with the rotation of the rotor so that the volumes of working spaces 5a, 5c are repeatedly increased and decreased and therefore, fluid is compressed and discharged. Thus, the leap-out of the vanes due to centrifugal force is limited, thereby it is possible to prevent the lowering of pump efficiency and the abrasion of vanes due to slidable friction. |
