PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a case for air bag which can be produced easily.SOLUTION: A case 20 for air bag can store a folded air bag, and can project the air bag during expansion from an upper opening part 20a, and comprises: a bottom wall part 21; and side wall parts 23 standing into an approximately cylindrical shape from an outer peripheral edge of the bottom wall part 21. The case for air bag is formed by: performing bending processing so as to erect side wall constitution parts 37 forming the side wall parts 23 from an outer peripheral edge of a bottom wall constitution part 36 forming the bottom wall part 21 on a single sheet metal material; then overlapping plural joint piece parts 41 disposed on the side wall constitution parts 37 to corresponding jointed parts 46, then performing calking processing, for maintaining a standing-shape of the side wall parts 23 from the bottom wall part 21. As a configuration in which the joint piece parts 41 are respectively arranged with the jointed parts 46 in an almost parallel to the bottom wall part 21, in a state of being overlapped to the jointed parts 46, the joint piece parts are partially calked in a direction substantially orthogonal to the bottom wall part 21.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
