PURPOSE:To manufacture a high-chromium forged steel working roll material for cold rolling having high hardness, by incorporating specific percentages of C, Si, Mn, Ni, Cr, and Mo to Fe. CONSTITUTION:A roll material consisting of, by weight, 1.4-<2.0% C, <=1.5% Si, <=1.5% Mn, <1.0% Ni, 10-20% Cr, 2.0-3.5% Mo, and the balance Fe with accompanying impurity elements and containing, if necessary, 1.0-2.0% Co is prepared. In this way, the high-chromium forged steel working roll material excellent in wear resistance and accident resistance and having high toughness can be obtained. |
