PURPOSE:To improve the fuel consumption, by providing means for feedback controlling a valve which regulates the hydraulic pressure in first line and matching the steady deviation between an actual speed ratio and a target speed ratio to a predetermined constant target deviation. CONSTITUTION:A first pressure regulation valve 48, a speed change control valve 44 and a second pressure regulation valve 58 are provided and a steady deviation between an actual speed ratio and a target speed ratio decreases as the hydraulic pressure in the first line increases. Said steady deviation is regulated to match with a predetermined target deviation through feedback control of the first pressure regulation valve 48. Since the hydraulic pressure in the first line is controlled to the lowest level necessary for realizing a speed ratio including the target deviation, the drive loss of pump and power loss of engine are reduced resulting in the improvement of the fuel consumption of vehicle. |
