摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To obtain the depth of a magnetic body in the sea, by a method wherein the magnetic field formed by the magnetic body landing on the surface of the sea and sedimenting in the sea is vertically cut to detect the change of an earth magnetism vector and the depth of the magnetic body in the sea is detected from the pressure of seawater during sedimentation to be calculated from both detection results. CONSTITUTION:A water pressure detection part 7 detects the pressure of seawater at the time of the sedimentation of a protective capsule 1 to send the same to a magnetic change detection part 4 which in turn converts said pressure to depth-in-sea information to sample and store the same. The magnetic change detection part 4 stores the information of the depth of the protective capsule in the sea corresponding to a position where the polarity of the change portion of a synthetic magnetic vector changes and outputs not only an order for separating a wt. part when detects the depth equal to or more than a prescribed depth but also an order to a floating control part 8. The floating control part 8 outputs gas to a balloon to impart buoyancy thereto and allows the protective capsule 1 to float up to the surface of the sea and, at the time when the capsule floats up, a communication part 9 communicates whether a magnetic body is detected and the detection depth of said magnetic body from the information of the magnetic change detection part 4.</p>
