PURPOSE:To produce a flame-retardant resin composition having excellent mechanical properties and moldability and combustible without causing dripping, by using a flame-retardant containing an organic bromine compound and antimony trioxide and compounding a polyolefin resin with said flame retardant and several kinds of specific compounds. CONSTITUTION:(A) 100pts.(wt.) of a polyolefin resin is compounded with (B) 25-40pts. of a flame retardant provided by mixing an organic bromine compound and antimony trioxide at a ratio of 3:1, (C) 0.4-2pts. of 2,3-dimethyl-2,3- diphenylbutane, (D) 60-100pts. of a mixture of (i) 60-100(wt)% chlorinated polyethylene having a chlorine-content of 35-45% (when the component A is a straight-chain low-density polyethylene, the component (i) is preferably a polymer produced by chlorinating the polyethylene) and (ii) 0-40% ethylene- vinyl acetate copolymer of a ethylene-ethyl acrylate copolymer and (E) 30-70pts. of a metal hydroxide such as magnesium hydroxide. |
