Active-matrix display screen without parasitic transistor and method of manufacture. Two appendages 53, 57 are linked to a column and a block, the first constituting the source, and the second constituting the drain of a thin-film transistor. The particular shape of the appendage 57 linked to the column avoides the appearance of a transistor which is parasitic with the following column. <IMAGE>
