The invention relates to a method and a modular machine for bending wires or other metal elements of fairly small cross section. The machine consists of one or of two bending assemblies A and A1, separated by a gripping assembly B, moving one towards the other, supplied by a dressing, feeding and cutting assembly C with the possible interposition of a transfer bench making it possible to carry out, in advance, various conversions on the pieces 8 before their ends are bent.
