<p>PURPOSE:To ensure the spring force from friction pads, which prevents a disc from falling off, by forming a plurality of curved parts onto a spring member in such a manner that the curved parts are located only in the recessed part of a bridge part along the periphery of the disc, and making a part of the curved parts touch the inner surface of the recessed part. CONSTITUTION:A recessed part 14 is formed inside of a bridge part 9 of a caliper 5, while an opening 10, which is used to check the degree of wear of friction pads 3 and 4, is formed on this recessed part 14. In this case, a spring member 15 is provided with curved parts 16 and 17 at two places along the periphery of a disc 1. Moreover, both ends 15a and 15b of the spring member 15 are fitted into fitting holes 3b and 4b, which are provided in back plates 3a and 4a of the friction pads 3 and 4. Under this fitting condition, the tips of both curved parts 16 and 17 are brought into contact with the inner surface of the recessed part 14 of the bridge part 9. With this contrivance, the curved parts 16 and 17 can provide the spring member 15 with a sufficient length, thereby increasing and stabilizing the spring force. At the same time, it can be prevented that the spring member 15 is disconnected from the disc 1 to fall in radial or circumferential direction of the disc 1.</p> |
