<p>PURPOSE:To prevent the deterioration of the quality of a picture or voice by coding information to be transmitted, adding a parity bit then transmitting, converting a reception data to a parallel data to generate a predictive value, and using thus produced predictive value when an error exists in the data. CONSTITUTION:An analog image signal inputted to a transmission side A is PCM coded by an A/D converter 1, in the means time, a parity bit generation circuit 2 generates a parity bit. A P/S converter 3 converters thus produced parallel signals to serial digital signals and outputs them to a transmission line 4. On the reception side, the signals are converted to parallel signals by a S/P converter 5, and these signals are outputted to a switch means 8, a predictor 7, and to a parity check circuit 6. The circuit 6 checks the data its and the parity bits, and, if the reception signals do not include an error, connects the input of a D/A converter 9 directly to the output of a D/A converter 9. When an error is detected, the input of the converter 9 is connected to the output of the predictor 7, hence the deterioration of the quality of a produced image is reduced.</p> |
