HERBICIDAL UREA COMPOUNDS

Novel compounds of the general formula wherein R represents a hydrogen or halogen atom or a (cyclo) alkyl group, R3 represents H, CH3, or OCH3, n=0 or 1, and when n=0, R2 represents a hydrogen atom and R1 a hydrogen atom or a monovalent substituent thereby forming an alkoxide, ether, ester, or other alcohol derivative, and when n=1, each R1 and R2 independently represents one of the atoms specified for R1 when n=0, or R1 and R2 together represent a bivalent group thereby forming a cyclic ether, ester, or other diol derivative, have useful herbicidal properties.
