Arranged on one side of a printer housing (1) of a printer for printing technical drawings is a transverse cutting machine (9) which has a roller device (18) for rolling drawings separated from a paper web (4). When a flap (20) of the roller device (18) has been opened, the drawing rolls rolled up in said roller device drop down into a collection basket. The paper web (4) is fed to the transverse cutting machine (9) via a deflection roller (12) on the upper side (6) of the printer housing (1). <IMAGE>
