The invention relates to drafting units for a spinning machine, each drafting unit having a drafting bottom apron driven via a friction drive and guided around at least one roller, and the rollers 6 of the drafting bottom aprons 8 of all the drafting units 1 of the spinning machine being divided into individually extractable sections. According to the invention, the rollers of the drafting bottom aprons of all the drafting units are pressed against driven friction rollers 11 and, at the same time, the drafting bottom aprons are clamped between the rollers 6 and 11. <IMAGE>
