In a partition device in clean rooms having high ambient cleanliness (freedom from particles), which comprises stationary glass skirts which are fastened in the ceiling region and, preferably following a ceiling-grid system and starting from the ceiling, are directed downwards and to which pendulously suspended additional glass skirts are, if appropriate, connected, it is proposed to design the additional glass skirts (glass panes 13, 13', 13'') so as to be motively vertically adjustable randomly and to fasten them on both sides to driving and bearing means located in vertical profiles arranged between the stationary glass skirts and carrying these (Figure 1). <IMAGE>
