The invention relates to a method for the manufacture of articles of jewellery with gemstones incorporated in a metal. To simplify the manufacture using inexpensive and simple gemstones, gemstones are placed on a work surface, a metal in molten state is dripped onto the gemstones, the melting point of said metal being lower than the decomposition temperature of the gemstones, and after cooling of the metal a fastening needle or the like is attached on the metal side of the article of jewellery.
