<p>PURPOSE:To reduce a light which arrives at a photodetector through a light path by forming a groove without dividing a part which becomes the light path of a cover case to construct a reflecting and scattering wall. CONSTITUTION:A light emitting element and a photodetector are contained in an opaque light emitting element container 1 and an opaque photodetector container 2 so disposed at a predetermined interval as to construct a detecting space X. Slits 3 are formed on the opposed surfaces of the containers 1, 2. The lower parts of the containers 1, 2 are connected by a coupler 4, and a sensor body is formed substantially in U shape of the containers 1, 2 and the coupler 4. Grooves M are formed at the center of the outer surface and both corners of the inner surface of the part which covers the coupler 4 of the case 6. When a voltage is applied to a light emitting element 7, the element 7 emits a light, this light is emitted through the slit of the container 1 to the space X. This light is emitted through the slit of the container 2 to a photodetector 8. The light propagated through the case 6 is reflected and scattered on the peripheral walls of three grooves M, M, M.</p> |
