<p>The device is of the type comprising an elongate source (30) of ultraviolet rays and a reflector (40) for returning the rays emitted towards it by the source in a given general direction of emission (Ox). According to the invention, the reflector comprises an assembly of reflecting plates (401-406, 401'-406') arranged in series parallel to the source and behind the latter over an angular range of approximately 180 DEG , all the reflecting plates having the same projected height (h) according to the direction of emission on a plane perpendicular to the latter and the same angular range (o) about the source in a plane perpendicular to the said plates and parallel to the said direction of emission, the plates being oriented in such a way as to impart to the reflected rays a mean direction parallel to the direction of emission, and a secondary reflector (50) forming a semi- cylindrical occulting arrangement extending over about 180 DEG in front of the source, and parallel to the latter, in order to return towards the said reflector (40) the rays emitted by the source towards the front. The invention also relates to a cabin-type installation equipped with such devices. Application to suntanning and to the therapeutic treatment of skin diseases. <IMAGE></p> |
