PURPOSE:To remove beads on a welded tube to perfection, by installing a cutter shiftably in both radial and circumferential directions toward the welded tube. CONSTITUTION:A relative position between a keep roll 44 and a tip end of a cutter 42 situated in a cutting position is adjusted and set to the specified infeed depth. With oscillation in an oscillating link 23 and rotation in a rotating shaft 31 of the turning cutting part of a link 26, positional adjustment to the circumferential direction of an electric welded tube 1 takes place. In addition, with an up-and-down motion in a tool slide 38, positional adjustment in a radial direction takes place whereby the position of the cutter 42 is set down so as to cause the keep roll 44 to stride across a bead 1a. Making full use of the feed of the tube 1, the bead 1a is scraped off with the cutter 42 in a state of being stationary, and chips are rolled round in coil form. |
