The films or sheets (1, 2) of thermoplastic material are welded by this process with two parallel welds (5, 6), the surfaces to be welded being heated in the region of the welds (5, 6), between which there is enclosed a strip-shape region (7) in which the films (1, 2) are not welded to each other. The process is distinguished by the fact that strands of a filler material (8, 9) of the same type are introduced in a hot-plastic state while forming the welds (5, 6) between the surfaces, in such a way that the films (1, 2) are at a distance from each other in the strip-shaped region (7). |
