PURPOSE:To obtain an alloy having excellent resistance to corrosion and wear and the composite cylinder thereof by welding a mixture composed of specifically composed alloy powder and hard particles onto a base metal by powder build-up welding. CONSTITUTION:This corrosion-and wear-resistant alloy is formed by mixing the hard particles with the powder of the alloy consisting, by weight, of 5.0-20.0% Cr, 1.0-5.0% B, <=10.0% Fe, 0.5-5.O% Si, <=1.5% C and the balance Ni and unavoidable impurities and depositing the same onto the surface of the base metal by powder build-up welding. The hard particles consist of 1 or >=2 kinds among the carbides of the groups IVA, VA, VIA of periodic table and are the hard particles having 10-300mum grain size. Such hard particles are mixed with the above-mentioned alloy powder at 5-40% by volume after mixing and the mixture is deposited onto the surface of the base metal by the powder build-up welding. |
