The present invention relates to a process for rapidly estimating stable type glycated hemoglobin and an apparatus thereof to be used in clinical tests. The process comprises treating by heating a sample which is diluted with a hemolysis agent containing a removal reagent for unstable type glycated hemoglobin, to achieve removal of the unstable type glycated hemoglobin. The apparatus comprises a heating device (8) for samples which functions before the sample is injected into a separation column (14).
