PURPOSE:To break a sintered packing material layer in a molten steel tap hole and to efficiently discharge the molten steel by preliminarily embedding an anchor fitting formed with a hook part at the bottom end in a vertical position into the tap hole and pulling down the hook part of the fitting at the time of tapping. CONSTITUTION:While a sliding plate 6 is held closed, the anchor fitting 11 is preliminarily housed in the vertical position into the molten steel tap hole in such a manner that the bottom end thereof is supported by the plate 6. A packing material is then packed therein by an ordinary method. The plate 6 is opened, then the hook part 12 of the fitting is pulled downward to break the sintered layer and to open a hole therin at the time of tapping. The efficient tapping is executed by the above-mentioned method. |
