<p>NEW MATERIAL:A carbostyril derivative shown by formula I (R<1> is H, lower alkyl, lower alkenyl or phenylalkyl; R<2> is H or OH; R<3> is H, halogen, lower alkyl or lower alkoxy; X is halogen; l and m are 0-6 integer and l+m<=6; n is 1 or 2; carbon carbon bond at 3-position and 4-position of carbostyril skeleton is single bond - double bond). EXAMPLE:1-Benzyl-5-[3-(4-phenylpiperazinyl)-propoxy]-3,4-dihydrocarbos tyril. USE:An antihistamine and a sedative (central nervous system depressant). PREPARATION:A hydroxycarbostyril derivative shown by formula II is reacted with a halogenoalkylpiperazine derivative shown by formula III to give a compound shown by formula I.</p> |
