PURPOSE:To obtain a DNA fragment having a gene corresponding to diaminopimelate decarboxylase derived from chromosome DNA of a bacterium belonging to the genus Brevibacterium. CONSTITUTION:The titled DNA fragment having a gene corresponding to diaminopimelate decarboxylase derived from chromosome DNA of a bacterium belonging to the genus Brevibacterium. It has 2.0 megadalton molecular weight, and scissored with restricted enzyme Bcl I into >=2 parts to give at least a fragment having 1.15 magadalton and one having 0.65 megadalton. It is scissored with restricted enzymes Cla I , HindIII, and Sal I at one position, respectively, to give a fragment having 1.l megadalton and one having 0.9 megadalton, a fragment having 1.3 megadalton and one having 0.7 megadalton, and a fragment having 1.25 megadalton and one having 0.75 megadalton, respectively, and it is not scissored with restricted enzymes BglII and Xba I . |
