<p>PURPOSE:To detect a target submerging deep under sea at a pinpoint, by arranging a stabilizer for keeping the attitude of a protection capsule stably in the air, a ballast for lowering the protection capsule under sea at a specified speed and a conical nose. CONSTITUTION:A magneto optical resonance magnetometer 14 built into a protection capsule is protected from a water pressure while it lowers under sea keeping a stable attitude at a fixed speed with a stabilizer 22 mounted at the rear of a capsule, a ballast 23a arranged at the tip thereof and a conical nose 23b at the tip thereof to measure variations in the magnetic field. The resulting measurement signal thereof is transmitted to an observer with a transmitter 17 from under sea. This enables the inspection under sea under the conditions almost the same as those by a method for inspection over the surface of sea horizontal thereby permitting the detecting of a target submerging deep under sea with a pinpoint accuracy.</p> |
