PURPOSE:To execute the start of transmission and detection of collision by a single algorithm by allowing each node station in a LAN system to control the intermission of the operation of each transmitter depending only on the presence of the input to each receiver. CONSTITUTION:When a transmission request takes place in a data processing terminal equipment 4, its node station 1 confirms the non-signal state of an optical fiber bus 5 by a receiver 3 of its own station. When an idle bus is confirmed, transmitters 2R, 2L start signal transmission. That is, data to be sent is transmitted to the transmitters 2L, 2R, where the signal is converted into an optical signal and the result is sent in two ways on the optical fiber 5. With a signal from a node station B given onto the optical fiber, then signals from node stations A,B are superimposed on the optical fiber and collision of signal takes place, but the optical fiber in the inside of the node stations A, B, strictly, the optical fiber between two sets of transmitters provided with each node station has no signal collision. |
