PURPOSE:To facilitate remote maintenance by providing a means collecting the operating state information of its own equipment and diagnosing/forming detailed information and a multiplex means including the information of its own equipment and other equipment into a transmission signal to active/standby terminal station equipments in a satellite communication system. CONSTITUTION:A satellite communication terminal station is constituted duplicatedly by two active/standby terminal station equipments 101, 102. Each of the terminal station equipments uses operating state detailed information generating circuits 105, 106 to collect the operating state information of its own equipment to diagnose and generate the detailed information of its operating state. The active terminal station equipment 101 uses a multiplexing circuit 123 to include the said operating state detailed information of its own equipment and other equipment in a transmission signal of its own equipment and to send the result to a supervisory station. In this case, the circuits 105, 106 diagnose and decide whether the operating state of the terminal station equipment belonging to itself is normal or abnormal based on the operating state information supplied from transmission control sections 103, 104 and reception control sections 114, 115, send the result to an active/standby switching control section 120 as result signals 118, 119 and also to multiplexing circuit. |
