PURPOSE:To improve riding comfortability by, as for a suspension for an automobile, controlling the spring constant of a pneumatic spring and the damping force a shock absorber in such a way that they are controlled to become medium when a car-height is near the outermost region of the detecting region of a car-height sensor, nd high when at the outermost region. CONSTITUTION:A car-height detected by a car-height sensor 5 is inputted to a control circuit 11. And, when an inputted car-height 5 is at H or HH, L or LL near the ends of a stroke, the control circuit 11, according to nearness to the ends of the stroke, operates an actuator 10 and solenoid valves 8, 8' and changes the damping force of a shock absorber 6 and the spring constant of a pneumatic spring 4 so as to become medium or high. And even when the car-height 5 as returned to the N side, the spring constant and the damping force are maintained to be medium or high for a given time. By this constitution, riding comfortability may be improved, as the spring constant and the damping force are set lower than in an ordinary case and moreover, collisions among members at the ends of the stroke may be prevented. |
