Nickel-iron aluminides are described that are based on Ni3Al, and have significant iron content, to which additions of hafnium, boron, carbon and cerium are made resulting in Ni3Al base alloys that can be fabricated at higher temperatures than similar alloys previously developed. Further addition of molybdenum improves oxidation and cracking resistance. These alloys possess the advantages of ductility, hot fabricability, strength, and oxidation resistance.
