PURPOSE:To obtain a thermal transfer recording sheet having a white texture and exhibiting an excellent image storing performance with respect to the light and plasticizer at the time of printing onto plain paper, by applying a thermal color developing layer onto the surface of a basic material and a thermal transfer layer onto the reverse while allowing the thermal transfer layer to comprise an aromatic iso-cyanate compound, a specific imino compound and a material having a low melting point. CONSTITUTION:Main components of a thermal transfer layer are an aromatic iso cyanate compound, an imino compound shown by the general formula(in the formula, phi is a residual group of an aromatic compound formable of a conjugated system with an adjoining C=N) which reacts with said iso cyanate compound to develop color and a material having a low melting point. When transferring onto a plain paper, a coloring material of the aromatic iso cyanate compound and the imino compound exhibits and excellent image storing performance, where said two components react to produce carboxamide azomethine color developing material having excellent light resistance and chemical resistance. The material having a low melting point and contributing to the transfer performance is an essential main component of the thermal transfer layer. In this coloring system, said material having a low melting point functions in two ways, i.e. sensitization for color development and transfer onto the plain paper. |
