PURPOSE:To obtan the member of a shadow mask and such that can achieve a fine color picture tube easy to see with exceedingly small color shift by forming the captioned picture tube member with a substrate whose primary components are Fe and Ni, and whose surface is coated with a black coat that uses one or more of Zn, Cr, and Ni as the base. CONSTITUTION:At least either one of a shadow mask 6, a frame 7, and an inner shield 9 is formed with the material in which the surface of a substrate whose primary components are Fi and Ni is coated with a black coat that uses one or more of Zn, Cr, and Ni as the base. As a result, for example, when a shadow mask 6 is provided with the property of small coefficient of thermal expansion owing to a substrate whose primary components are Fe and Ni and the excellent heat dissipation of the black coat that uses Cr and such applied to the substrate surface as the base and then is built in a color picture tube, the doming caused by the temperature rise when the tube is used is improved and color shift and such following the relative positional shift between the fine opening section of the shadow mask and the phosphor layer of a phosphor screen can be suppressed. |
