The invention concerns a carriage for distributing animal fodder, including a frame 1 forming the walls and bottom of the carriage, conveyors 2 arranged essentially in the longitudinal direction of the carriage and used for moving the fodder, and a spreader device 3 for spreading the fodder. Compactly packed fodder in particular is difficult to spread using the equipment which is presently available. According to the invention, a return device 4 has been placed at a distance from the conveyor, and this return device 4 is designed to move the fodder in the opposite direction to that of the conveyor. <IMAGE>
