The device is for removing foilage and comprises a mobile frame towed behind a tractor. There is a rotatable set of threshing bars (9) turnign about a vertical axis. They are held in a support (8) at the bottom of a drive-shaft (6) and are driven at a variable speed by a hydraulic motor (7) with a speed controller. The rotating bars do not have cutting edges on their front sides but are instead round or oval in cross-section. The bars are interchangeably provided on the support and are provided with a covering of rubber of similar material. The frame has fore and aft rollers (2,3) adjustable via wire spindles (4,5).
