PURPOSE:Crosslinked moldings, having excellent heat and chemical resistance, mechanical strength and dimensional stability and obtainable by crosslink- treating polyester moldings containing as an acid component an aromatic dicarboxylic acid and an aliphatic dicarboxylic acid having a specific structural formula. CONSTITUTION:(C) 1-20wt% allyl compound expressed by formula II (R1-R3 are H or organic group) having >=3 allyl groups, e.g. triallyl cyanurate, etc., is added to a polyester obtained by using as an acid component (A) aromatic dicarboxylic acid and (B) 5-50mol% (based on the acid component) aliphatic dicarboxylic acid expressed by formula I (n is >=10, preferably >=18) to afford a polyester composition, which is then molded into fibers, films or sheets, drawn, preferably at least monoaxially, at >=1.1 times, preferably >=1.3 times and crosslink-treated, preferably irradiated with electron rays at any stage before, during or after drawing to provide to aimed crosslinked moldings. |
